The workshop aims to solicit papers covering all aspects of multilingual spoken document retrieval research, which includes (but is not limited to):

  • Recognition algorithms and techniques for spoken audio indexing;

  • Retrieval models and techniques for spoken documents;

  • Monolingual, crosslingual and multilingual spoken document retrieval;

  • Performance evaluation methods;

  • Spoken document corpora;

  • Multimodal interfaces for text and spoken document retrieval;

  • Summarization, information extraction and question answering for spoken audio.

The workshop will present invited lectures / tutorials, poster sessions and panel discussions on the topics. Four-page extended abstracts are invited.  Accompanying demonstrations are encouraged for accepted papers.  Final manuscripts may not exceed six pages.
