NETWORK SYSTEMS ENGINEER
This position requires depth knowledge and working experience with FreeBSD
or Linux, and hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls,
and other network hardware.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implementing network monitoring and automation tools
- Developing customized tools and applications
- Monitoring and supporting our global IP network.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Expertise with IPSec and SSL VPN
- Hands-on experience with routers, firewalls, load balancers & switches
- Field knowledge of OSPF and BGP and troubleshooting technique
- 5 or more years of experience as a systems administrator in Linux or FreeBSD
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Independent problem-solving, self-direction
- Ability to write scripts in Perl, shell, PHP, or Python
- Ability to do debugging and modification of C programs
- SQL experience a plus, MySQL a plus
- A strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
- Tack-sharp analytical abilities.

SR. UNIX SYSTEMS ADMINSTRATOR

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Candidate will be responsible for the set-up, configuration and operational support of our engineering Linux cluster located in our Hong Kong & Taipei Design Centers. - Candidate will perform a wide range of system administration tasks including hardware installation, implementing software upgrades and patches, adding and modifying peripheral devices, kernel reconfiguring, etc.
- Position will monitor memory/disk utilization to ensure optimal response time for on-line applications, and help to ensure sufficient system resources are always available to accommodate the anticipated growth of the entire organization.
- Development of new farm maintenance techniques, introduction of new technologies and keeping the farm on the leading edge is encouraged.
- Candidate will also administer network services (yp maps, DNS, NIS, and sendmail), file systems, users/groups, and maintain permission profiles as well as other duties typical of a systems administrator.
- Position will be part of a 24x7 critical response rotation team, as well as a help desk rotation team. Carrying of a pager and cell phone is required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Ideal candidates will have thorough working knowledge of Red Hat Linux, UNIX utilities, commands and networking concepts as well as familiarity with PC hardware, Netapp filers, Veritas Netbackup and other popular 3rd party products.
- Must be capable of diagnosing and resolving performance problems as well as basic network troubleshooting.
- The candidate must have a BS/CS in computer science or related field and 7+ years experience as a System Administrator in a Linux or Sun/Solaris environment.
- Excellent verbal and written (English) communication skills are required.

Job Description/Qualifications:
- Analyse RMA Requests from Customers and conduct testing on RMA material.
- Coordinate with Customer Quality Team to drive Quality Improvement Activities.
- Develope and support Quality data collection and analysis tools.
- Help to drive corrective actions to the source of problem. Monitor corrective actions and continuous improvement activities within the company and / or suppliers.
- Assist in Quality Audits and customer visits to NVIDIA or suppliers
- Write quality procedures as needed to document current practices.
Requirements:
- BSEE, equivalent or higher required.
- Strong background in Quality initiatives, preferable in Semiconductor industry.
- Experience in semiconductor functional testing and failure analysis.
- 2 years Customer Interface experience required.
- Proficiency in VBA, Excel and DB programming.
- Willing to travel within SE. Asia and occasionally outside of Asia if required.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English and must be a fast learner.
- Experience in Semiconductor RMA analysis will be a plus.
