The SEEM Day was successfully held on May
23, 2004 for promoting the major areas of the department to
the public and the potential students. Three honorable speakers,
namely, Dr. James McGill, Managing Director of Morgan Stanley
and Pan Asia Chief Information Officer (CIO), Mr. Liji Gu, Chairman
of China Merchants Technology Holdings Co., Ltd. and Mr. Anthony
Wong, Executive Vice President of Hong Kong Logistics Association
gave talks in the areas of Financial Engineering (Dr. J. McGill)
and Logistics & Supply Chain Management (Mr. L. Gu and Mr.
A. Wong). In addition, the department also introduced its programs
in the department to the participants. Some current students
also joined the event for getting more understanding of the
job market relating to our areas. The event attracted more than
180 participants. |
