To help needy students meet part of the cost of
their university education, the government has made provisions for
grants and loans through the joint Committee on Student Finance. The
University and its constituent colleges also administer their own
scholarships, bursaries, loans, and campus work schemes. There are
also scholarships specifically for Systems Engineering & Engineering
Management students, like the scholarship from Chen Hsong Industrial
Scholarship.
Students may also obtain financial assistance
from the Student Travel Loan Scheme, the Summer Subsistence Loan
Scheme, University Bursaries, Interest-free Loans, and the Campus
Work Schemes. Further details are available at the Office of Student
Affairs of the University and the General Office of the Department.

Scholarship
Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering
Management is pleased to offer a department scholarship on annual
basis starting from the academic year 2004-2005. Regulations governing
the award of the scholarship are detailed below:
The scholarship will be awarded to first year full-time
undergraduate students of the Department of Systems Engineering and
Engineering Management on the basis of entrance results and academic
merit. Half of the award will be given to the respective awardee at
the beginning of the first term, whereas the second half will be
given at the end of the first year, subject to the condition that
the awardee PASS all subjects in his/her first year study.
Categories of the awards:
Gold: HK$40,000
Silver: HK$20,000
Bronze: HK$10,000
The scholarship for a student with 6As or
more in his/her HKCEE, incl. Chinese Language (or French
or Putonghua) and English Language Syl. B (Grade A in English
Language (Syllabus A) is not counted for this purpose), is renewable
up to 3 years subject to CGPA of 3.3.
紀牛牛獎學金
Niuniu Ji Scholarship
The scholarship will be awarded to full-time
undergraduate students of the Department of Systems Engineering and
Engineering Management on the basis of academic merit.

Silver: HK$10,000
