SEEM students received Cyberport Creative Micro Fund on Cyberport University Partnership Programme (CUPP) 2018 Demo Day. The group led by Mr. Stanley Ying (SEEM/5), comprised of Mr. Simon Wong (SEEM MPhil/2), Mr. Max Lam (SEEM MPhil/2) presented their FinTech project entitled ” ICOvisor”, together with its prototype implementation to a panel of judges which include industry leaders from startups, finance, and technological sectors. The project was assessed based on several aspects, spanning management team capability, business model, time to market, innovation to social responsibility. With unique market positioning, rigorous technical design and solid team composition, the SEEM project was commended by the judges and awarded startup capital of HKD 100,000.

As a part of the Programme, the team was selected to attend training at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, where the business and entrepreneurial training was conducted by leading academics and industry elites.

As the demo day marks the completion of the programme, the team plans to continue with the implementation of ICOvisor and prepare for its launch in the future.
